VOSA SAFETY INSPECTION MANAGER NETWORKING

There are several alternative options available when using the ‘Safety Inspection Manager’. We can advise, supply, and carry out the full installation if required to.

The 3 main options are:

1. Using the Safety Inspection Manager as a single user standalone application in the office

You would install the ‘Safety Inspection Manager’ onto the main office PC, the inspector will carry out the safety inspection making whatever notes are needed at the point of inspection. These notes are then formalized as they are entered into the ‘Safety Inspection Manager’.

2. Using the Safety Inspection Manager in the pit / ramp area and sending the data (via network) back to the office PC

Using this method you would install the ‘Safety Inspection Manager’ on both the office PC and a PC in the bay / ramp area. The PC in the bay area can be a touch screen PC or tablet PC which allows the inspector to enter the details of the inspection directly into the ‘Safety Inspection Manager’ thereby eliminating any paperwork or inspection sheets. This data is then immediately available on the office PC, using this scenario the data is actually stored on the office PC. However as far as the inspector is concerned the data is simply being entered onto the PC.

3. Using the ‘Safety Inspection Manager’ in the pit / ramp area and storing the data on this PC

Using this method the inspector would use a PC in the bay area and enter data directly into ‘Safety Inspection Manager’, the data is then stored directly on this PC. If you decide to use an office PC then in this scenario the office PC could link to the bay area PC and read from data on the bay area PC (reading data is almost instant). Depending on the speed of your network this is likely to be the best option. If you have a fast network then option 2 is also very good.
